If something is wrong with an order from Kapoor Books, tell us and we will sort it out. This page sets out the window, the process and how long a refund takes.
Return window
Contact us within 10 days of delivery to start a return. You need to tell us within that window – the item itself does not have to be back with us by then.
What can be returned
- Unused stationery in its original packaging, with seals intact.
- Items that arrived damaged, incorrect, or with something missing from the pack.
We cannot accept returns of writing instruments that have been used, notebooks or planners that have been written in, or bookmarks and tabs whose adhesive backing has been peeled. This is a hygiene and resale limitation, not a way of refusing returns.
Damaged, wrong or incomplete orders
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the parcel and its contents. An unboxing video is strongly recommended and makes a claim much easier to settle. We review what you send and arrange a replacement or a refund where applicable. A missing item from a multi-pack is treated as an incomplete order, not a return.
Who pays return shipping
- Change of mind: the customer pays the return shipping.
- Damaged, wrong or incomplete, confirmed as our error: we cover or reimburse the return shipping.
Refunds
Once the returned item reaches us and we have checked it, the refund is processed within 5 business days. Refunds go back to the original payment method. For an order paid by cash on delivery, we take your bank or UPI details and transfer the amount. Your bank may take its own time to show the credit.
If the same order is paid twice, the duplicate payment is refunded within 5 business days after we confirm the duplicate transaction. That is separate from any return.
Restocking
There is no restocking fee.

Exchanges
We do not offer a direct exchange. If you would like a different item, return the unused piece in its original packaging within the return window for a refund and place a fresh order.
